The Guyana Mining School and Training Centre Inc. (GMSTCI) is now accepting registrations for the Map Reading and Navigation (GPS) Course for 2025. Whether you’re new to the field or seeking to sharpen your skills, this course offers hands-on training essential for safe and effective exploration and mining operations.

The Guyana Mining School and Training Centre Incorporated (GMSTCI) was established in 2012 under the Companies Act, with its shares wholly owned by the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC). Operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) through the GGMC, the school was publicly launched on August 15, 2013, at the Guyana Forestry Commission Training Annex.

Over 90% of our trainees secure jobs in mining or enroll in advanced technical programs.

Courses are designed with real industry input to meet today’s mining workforce needs.
